Set Link Nano

Set Link Nano is an ethernet bridge based on wifi halow technology. In Europe, it uses the frequency range of 863-868mhz, allowing for long range stable communications. To simplify, it acts as an “air cable”. Set Link Nanos do not appear on your network and it will seem as if the ethernet device is plugged in straight into your switch or device. You can pair from 2 to 8 Set Link Nanos together in order to adapt your network to your requirements (You will need 3 devices to control 2 cameras). 

It boots in 6 seconds and the expected range is 100+ meters in line of sight (tested up to 2km) and 30-100m with obstacles depending on environment. Real life range is similar to that of a Preston single channel hand unit. Don’t expect “magical” results but do expect massive range improvement and stability over regular 2.4/5ghz wifi. Bandwidth expectations are from 5mbps to 1mbps depending on quality of reception.

This makes Set Link Nano the perfect companion for controling/livegrading cameras on set from a distance (successfully tested on Sony Venice 1&2, ARRI Alexa mini, mini LF, LF, 35, 65, Red Raptor, Raptor XL, Phantom Flex 4K).

Being ethernet bridges they can also be used by any sort of network devices as long as they need a low bandwidth. They have been tested successfully with Cine7 with camera control license, remote controling SDI router via Bitfocus companion’s webpage or using an SDI router control panel but also for controling lutboxes and monitors, remotely controling your computer or even remoting a USB device via network.

Setlink has been tested for DMX control using Artnet protocol with up to 25 dmx universes on one link.

The Setlink Nano comes ready to use with a short antenna (for the most compact camera builds), a long antenna (for the longest range), a Lemo 2-Lemo 2 cable and a Dtap-Lemo 2 cable.
It also comes with 6 swappable rubber colored rings to easily differentiate your sets.
